Job description
Finlays Colombo, part of the Swire Group (John Swire & Sons Ltd, UK) with a presence in Sri Lanka since 1893 and a leading supplier of tea-based solutions to global markets, is hiring a Manager – Human Resources in Welisara.
Purpose of the role: support the delivery of the organisation's HR priorities across talent management, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, engagement and wellbeing, while strengthening HR processes and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with functional teams and line managers to implement HR initiatives
- Coordinate talent management and performance processes, including succession planning and career development
- Coordinate and implement Learning & Development initiatives
- Support compensation, benefits and recognition processes
- Manage employee relations and drive engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
- Support workforce planning and organisational change
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, processes and systems
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalisation of HR practices

Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in HRM or a related discipline, with CQHRM, SHRM or an equivalent HR qualification
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience in a broad generalist environment
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment is preferred; exposure to a unionised environment is an advantage
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented, empathetic and accountable, with strong follow-through
- Able to manage multiple priorities and lead by example
