Programme Officer

Muslim Women's Research and Action Forum has an opening for a Programme Officer. The job is based in Colombo. This is a full-time position.

What the job involves:
- Project Implementation: day-to-day planning, execution, and monitoring of
- projects (Equality and Justice e.g., legal counselling, policy reform, psychosocial
- support, peacebuilding and social cohesion, economic empowerment,)
- Community Engagement: Facilitate participatory community assessments and
- maintain strong, collaborative relationships with local stakeholders and
- beneficiaries

- Education: Bachelor’s degree Development studies , Social Work or a related
- fields (or ALs with at least 10 years in experience in the development sector
- civil society organisations)
- Experience: 5-7 years experience in civil society organizations
- Communication: Written and oral communication skills in English and Tamil
- Sinhala language competence will be an added qualification
- Competencies: Deep understanding of participatory development
- methodologies and a strong commitment to human rights and community
