What the job involves

• Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan
• Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win
• Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs
• Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs
• Triage and debug issues during evaluations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers quickly
• Create reusable assets that scale. Turn repeated requests into working samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides
• Enable the field. Collaborate with AEs, CSMs, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases

Working remotely from Sri Lanka

• 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design
• Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win
• Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate LLMs
• Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts such as SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations
• Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, including Helm-based installs and production observability
