Residential Nurse (Female)

Sarvodaya Suwasetha Sewa Society Ltd., a sister organization of the Lanka Jathika Sarvodaya Shramadana Sangamaya, invites applications for the post of Residential Nurse (Female) at the Sarvodaya Suwasetha Child Development Centre for Infants & Teenage Mothers, Moratuwa.

The Centre provides residential care, medical and clinical services, and nutritional support to vulnerable infants, children and teenage mothers. The selected candidate will be required to reside at the Centre.

Key responsibilities:
- Attend to the physical and emotional well-being of children under care
- Accompany children for medical consultations and treatments when required
- Administer medication according to medical instructions
- Coordinate with MOH and Family Health Officers regarding children's health needs
- Implement and coordinate recommended nutritional rehabilitation programmes
- Maintain proper health and hygiene standards within the Centre
- Maintain relevant health records and documentation
- Perform other nursing and child-care duties assigned by the management

- G.C.E. Ordinary Level qualification
- A Diploma or Basic Nursing Course of at least one year from a recognized institute
- Previous experience in nursing or child care is an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of child health, nutrition and common childhood illnesses
- High sense of responsibility and commitment; professional ethics
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Age: 30–50 years
